There are at least 101 Top things to see, do, experience and enjoy on your next trip home to New Zealand!!!
This list is just to get you started!!
1: Ride the Cable Car in Wellington
This iconic attraction has been part of the Wellington scenery since it began service 110 years ago. Originally it began as a private development and was sold to the Wellington City Council in 1947. Beginning at Lambton Quay, with 3 stops along the way and ending at the Kelburn Lookout, it is a great way to see the sights of Wellington. I remember the great excitement of doing this ride as a child – I think it was for a school excursion with a nice bus trip over the Rimutakas!!! The cable car runs every 10 minutes, operates from 7am-10pm Monday to Friday with shorter hours of operation on weekends and public holidays. You can visit their website at Wellington Cable Car – there’s even a cute colouring page for the kids to print and colour in if you’d like to!
2: Scream your lungs out on a fantastic New Zealand bungy jump! I did the Taupo bungy a couple of years ago – and yes, I’ve got the T-shirt to prove it!! It’s amazing to walk, ahhh shuffle, over to the edge at their very beautiful location overlooking the Waikato River and wait for the count down to jump. Their very skilled operators make you feel safe and in very capable hands. Nope, I didn’t take the leap on my first count down but once I did the feeling of exhilaration (plus a few expletives and prayers on the way down) was amazing!! You can check them out here at http://www.taupobungy.co.nz/
Other locations to do your jump are at Kawarau – the worlds first bungy, The Ledge in Queenstown, The Auckland Bridge. Details are all at www.bungy.co.nz
Auckland Skytower has a bold bungy, my son did this and LOVED it!! You can find them here athttp://www.skyjump.co.nz/
